NOW OPEN: Basic.Space NY 2025

(NEW YORK, NY — November 14, 2025) — Basic.Space NY is now open starting today, November 14, and will end Sunday, November 16. Taking over 20,000 sq. ft. of 575 Broadway in Soho, New York, Basic.Space NY offers exclusive access to a reimagined IRL-to-URL retail experience with a late 1980s New York twist. Envisioned by Jesse Lee, CEO and Founder of Basic.Space, Basic.Space NY presents immersive installations and curated selections of pieces from top artists, designers, galleries, and brands, presented across the venue's entire floor.

All of the pieces on view are available to shop both in-person and using the Basic.Space app, which features an AI-powered personalized feed, exclusive access to events, and personalized offers from the online marketplace.

HIGHLIGHTS

The Executive Office by MATTE Studios

MATTE, the creative and production partner for Basic.Space NY, presents an homage to the late '80s - early ‘90s ​ office theme with the "Executive Office” installation at Basic.Space NY. The office features Alexander May and USM’s "Collector’s Desk” in the space, from Alexander May and USM's new project The Architecture of Work. Inspired by a record executive’s office, the space has a black, white, and silver aesthetic.

KidSuper’s Playroom

The Playroom at Basic.Space NY, curated by KidSuper’s founder Colm Dillane, highlights a mix of collectible design pieces from Gufram, Snarkitecture, Seungin Yang, Kevin Rosa, Friedman Benda, The Future Perfect, and others, alongside Dillane’s capsule collection and supporting artwork. Dillane, an artist known for his multidisciplinary practice fusing streetwear, art, film, and performance, presents a space that champions wild imagination through a vibrant and colorful “playroom” where the whimsy of childhood reigns and creativity knows no limits.

Laffanour | Galerie Downtown presents Kris Van Assche

Laffanour | Galerie Downtown showcases the work of Belgian fashion designer Kris Van Assche, former artistic director of Dior Homme and Berluti, through an exhibition of 14 bronze pieces conceived as true object-sculptures. Laffanour displays the series alongside Jean Royère’s Polar Bear Sofa, valued at just under $2 million, and select pieces from iconic designers Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand.

Eckhaus Latta x The Arcades 

American fashion label Eckhaus Latta and The Arcades, the hybrid design newsletter and web platform of David Lê, jointly present a curation of contemporary art and design objects. Pieces include Eckhaus Latta’s handbag designs, such as The Snap and The Bucket, and Lê’s curation of artworks and vintage objects. Together, these projects explore how ideas from contemporary art and design can live alongside the everyday, offering objects to live with, collect, and use, always with a sense of experimentation and their core.

SR_A

Founded by Samuel Ross, SR_A crafts culturally informed garments and distinct functional objects at the intersection of art, fashion, and design. SR_A’s display highlights pieces from its bespoke capsule menswear collection for the first time at Basic.Space NY. Signatures of emboldened, industrious colors fuse with asymmetric construction techniques.

MSCHF

Conceptual collective MSCHF presents a curation of their pieces, including the MSCHF x Gufram Cut Pratone; the Global Supply Chain Telephone Handbag collection; the MSCHF x AMG Grille Grill; and a sword from the Guns 2 Swords collection. The group’s elaborate interventions using brands, products, and objects as raw material for cultural commentary and range from viral disruption to institutional critique.

SWEETERFAT

SWEETERFAT presents pieces from Gaetano Pesce's world's first "virtual office" at TBWA\Chiat\Day: springs that echo the uncertainty of life, resin that resists perfection, bold color that invites play and individuality into the spaces we inhabit.

Curated Section by Marquel Williams

Designer Marquel Williams presents a curated, shoppable installation compiling works from leading galleries with designs from globally renowned creatives and galleries: Pedro Avila, Friedman Benda, Andrea Branzi, Wendell Castle, Byung Hoon Choi, Vincenzo De Cotiis, Carpenters, Workshop Gallery, Pierre Jeanneret, Rick Owens, Wonmin Park, and Boldizar Senteski.

BEAMS

Tokyo’s cultural powerhouse BEAMS will arrive in New York to display an immersive retail-meets-art experience at Basic.Space NY. Bringing its signature blend of Japanese craftsmanship and post-war design to the East Coast, BEAMS will highlight a variety of products that reflect the brand's cultural perspective, including works by artists Daido Moriyama, Tadanori Yokoo, Sori Yanagi, and more. The presentation will feature visual art, furniture, and objects that span from traditional craft to postwar modernism, with each piece bridging the worlds of heritage, contemporary design, and urban culture.

MyPrize Gaming Lounge 

In partnership with MyPrize, the world’s fastest growing social casino, Basic.Space NY presents “The Game Lounge.” ​ A highlight is the rare 1970s transforming Cubo Game Table by Renato Meneghetti.
