(LOS ANGELES, CA — March 5, 2025)—Basic.Space is proud to announce that the inaugural edition of Design.Space will take place in Los Angeles this month. The invitation-only event will take over the Pacific Design Center on March 29 and 30, offering exclusive access to a reimagined retail experience. Online access will be available for one week, starting March 27.

Design.Space will showcase a curated selection of archival and contemporary pieces from top artists, designers, galleries, and brands, immersively presented across indoor and outdoor spaces. From large-scale art installations to smaller collectible design objects, Design.Space will combine the familiarity of a department store with the world-class culture of an art and design fair.

“The definition of luxury is changing and design is now at the forefront of what everyone's excited about. Design.Space is a simple concept—taking the best of Basic.Space and Design Miami to create a fun IRL-to-URL shopping experience. Expect to discover something old and new, with style and taste over trend and hype,” says Jesse Lee, Founder of Basic.Space and Chairman of Design Miami

Coinciding with Design.Space’s launch, Basic.Space will transition from a publicly available marketplace to a membership-based platform. From May 2025 onwards, members will receive a wide range of exclusive benefits and personalized services, including preview access to coveted drops, VIP entry to all global Design Miami events and activations, private art buying and selling opportunities, and much more.
