WHAT: On Friday, March 28, Los Angeles-based digital platform Basic.Space celebrated the launch of the inaugural Design.Space with an exclusive opening night event at the Pacific Design Center, ahead of the retail experience’s debut weekend on March 29-30.
Design.Space is a reimagined retail experience, showcasing a curated mix of archival and contemporary pieces from leading designers, artists, galleries, and brands. Presented across immersive indoor and outdoor environments, the concept blends large-scale art installations with collectible design objects—merging the familiarity of a department store with the elevated sensibility of an art and design fair.
Guests at the opening event enjoyed an exclusive first look at the experience hosted by Basic.Space founder and Design Miami Chairman Jesse Lee.
